CREATING A CULTURE OF PEACE

INTERNATIONAL CONSORTIUM FOR

Execute an International Plan to Transform Society

There is an urgent need for improving mental health among youth.

Join us in committing to scale up solutions to violence, bullying and school shootings, high levels of stress and trauma, escalating drug epidemics, addressing student apathy, lack of connection and an increased sense of isolation, depression and anxiety.

alongside educational leaders from around the world, in a natural setting by the ocean in Bahia, Brazil

One program has emerged...

...in the last 10 years which combines best practices and addresses these issues directly through the curriculum of schools.

YES for Schools is an evidence-based social emotional curriculum implemented in classrooms successfully integrating physiological tools with cognitive processes.

It has been executed in school systems in the USA for over 10 years. Mexico, India, Canada, Brazil, Argentina, Chile, Colombia and the Dominican Republic have incorporated YES! curriculum into their schools.

Educational administrators are asking for the YES! curriculum to be to be scaled into entire city and state school systems.

Governmental bodies around the world have legislated measures for improving mental health, implementing social emotional learning, uplifting human values, promoting crime prevention, addressing youth suicide and building anti-violence programs in schools, but do not have the tools to fulfill these mandates.

Here are two leaders who have found an answer:

“We know there is a mental health crisis in both students and teachers. In the last 4 days we could see a solution. The YES! for Schools program is a part of what we were looking for.”

After completing the YES! Educator Course with 50 educational leaders, Ney Campello, Superintendent of the Education Department of Bahia said:

A month later the State of Bahia signed an agreement to build YES! into the curriculum of ALL its schools.

“Today was uplifting and insightful; it was beautiful to see amazing human beings having fun and getting back to what really matters, being a great human being. This is the model for education.”

Dr. Mario Santos, principal of East Side High School of Newark, New Jersey, after the YES! Educator course for all teachers in his school said:

Governmental educational leaders in specific regions of Brazil, Mexico and USA, having seen the effectiveness of YES! Programs in their schools, have asked… “how do we scale this to reach all our students and teachers ?”

This consortium is a response to that question, and provides a specific proposal to fulfill this pressing need.

In addition, educational leaders attending from other countries may choose to adopt this plan in their own schools.

YES! provides tools for social transformation

In addition to serving students, YES impacts teachers, parents and even the police. Every member of the community benefits.

It creates social transformation in society, starting with youth at the developmental stage when they are forming habits for the rest of their life.

You are a part of this solution

You are invited to be a founding member of the International Consortium for Creating a Culture of Peace.

Significant improvements have been demonstrated in the areas of aggressive behavior, academic performance, growth mindset, connectedness, student and teacher attendance, impulsive behavior, perceived stress and violent incidents.

By implementing YES! in more schools we will analyse its impact on larger groups of students and teachers.

Positive results already demonstrated the need for building YES! into the curriculum of every school. See research results

Now is the time to commit to YES!

We come together on the Island of Itaparica...

near Salvador, Bahia for 4 days of relaxation and inner transformation to create an action plan that will transform schools all over the world.
